Before I moved in I promised myself I would make the main bedroom my focus because we tend to think the spaces our guests will see the most like the family room and kitchen needs our attention first….but what about YOU? What about what YOU see the most? We don’t spend 8+ hours a day in our kitchens people..that’s what a crockpot is for!😅 . So…I got to work!! Literally the 2nd day I moved in, paint went up (y’all remember my paint outfit right?) We also had recessed lighting installed on a dimmer! (Pro tip: get you a dimmer & thank me later) New ceiling fan and I mean y’all see the rest…so this is your sign to make your bedroom YOUR priority cuz who pays for it? Not your guests! We love y’all though!😛 . What’s the first thing you do when you move into a new place?
JUST DO IT!! // What was supposed to be a relax da JUST DO IT!! // What was supposed to be a relax day turned super productive! I busted out this project in a few hours with many water && White Claw breaks in this 100 degree weather. Ain’t no thang!😎🥵😩 . SWIPE ➡️to see the process… . I put this Thompson’s water seal on our wood fence to help prevent it from UV damage and water marks & hope to preserve its caramel color. It’s supposed to last a full year so I’ll report back but for now…ITS DONE!! . What do y’all think? Did you have a productive Sunday or are you in full relax mode?🌻
D E B T F R E E J O U R N E Y💵💰// it’s b D E B T F R E E J O U R N E Y💵💰// it’s been nearly 1 year since I’ve really dove into my progress so here’s the latest. ➡️➡️SWIPE to see where I was a year ago today. . 📊Let me make sense of this table for you. The consolidated loan is from combining 2 credit cards into a personal loan w/ a lower interest rate to pay them off faster while costing me less. This kicked off my debt free journey. 📉Student loan #1 is a private loan (not eligible for the pause in payments) & I’m on an income based plan and nearly break even between the interest accruing & any of the payment going toward principal🤮...for now. 📈Student loan #2 has been on pause since the panaorama🙌🏾 . I took the past year to build up my savings for the new home..and decided to make minimum payments on these debts until I moved in. Well…we’re moved in so we’re back to attack mode💪🏾 . GOAL // Pay off the consolidated loan before end of this year. I will pay minimums on my student loan #1 until then and we’ll see what my payments for student loan #2 look like when they resume in October👎🏾 send a prayer!!😩

Can’t believe I built this…like who am I even?? Anyway…this is the start to our moody bedroom and you know due to that thing that shall not be named..🙄furniture is taking awhile so I’ll report back when it arrives yall. But what do we think???
